Much of Biblical prophecy is taken up with the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, much more than prophecies of His first coming.

The Bible says:

"…Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. Now this, 'Yet once more' indicates the removal of those things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken, may remain." Heb. 12: 26.27

The Word of God is perfectly clear, in the end times, God is going to shake all shakeable things! I believe we are already seeing some of this shaking now.

We are being constantly warned that the financial institutions of this world are in a very vulnerable position. Most of the money being spent in the affluent societies of the world only exists on paper. We keep hearing about 'Plastic money'. The average family today is over spent, living very much beyond their means, and has a mountain of debt.


How long will it be before the bubble bursts?

We hear of global warming, holes in the ozone layer and gross pollution of this planet.

The world is ever changing and is becoming increasingly dependent on information technology made possible by computers. The millennium bug scare seems a long time ago now, but caused many to fear greatly. It was a genuine fear, although it didn't come to fruition.

Can you imagine the consequences of a mass computer breakdown?

Just a simple power cut in the High Street of Southend where I live, recently caused many shops to shut because they couldn't trade without their computerised checkouts.

We are also extremely dependent on oil. Many conflicts in our world today are fired by the very real threat to oil supplies. How much longer will this earth sustain the oil demands of modern society?

These are just some of the things I believe will be shaken. I don't have to elaborate on the outcome that this will cause; it doesn't take much imagination!

God declares that some things cannot be shaken.

"But the word of the Lord endures forever." 1 Peter 1:25

Jesus said in Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth will pass away but my words will not pass away"

God's Word the Bible stands secure forever!

Put your faith in the unshakeable Word of God. God's Word is truth; this is the Word that I preach. We need to come to God, through Jesus Christ (John 14:6) and trust is His love and mercy to save us.

"For the Lord is good, His mercy is everlasting, and His truth endures to all generations." Psalm 100;5
