The Bible clearly teaches that at the time of the tribulation, antichrist will set up a New World Order.

There is much talk about the New Age or New World Order even today. So much so that the New Age Movement has grown very strong in recent years even to the point of 'prophesying' a coming New Age messiah.

In the Bible, and the book of Revelation in particular, we are shown the basic foundations on which this Order will be built. As our illustration shows, these are to be .

1. A World Economy.
2. A World Religion.
3. A World Government.

 

World Economy

"He causes all both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark of the beast (antichrist) or the number of his name." Revelation 13:16-17


From these verses it's not too hard to see that this refers to a new type of currency, very probably cashless and electronic, that will involve all worldwide business of every description.

 

World Religion

" All who dwell on the earth will worship him (antichrist) whose names have not been written in the Book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Revelation 13:8

No real need for me to comment on this, it is absolutely plain for all to see, a World Religion with antichrist as its head and it's god!

He will be the New Age Messiah!

 

World Government.

" The dragon (Satan, see Ch. 12:9) gave him (antichrist) his power, his throne, and great authority." Revelation 13:2

'his throne' clearly means that the antichrist will RULE.

When our Lord Jesus Christ was tempted by the devil at the beginning of His ministry (see Matthew 4) Satan tempted Him with 'all the kingdoms of the world and their glory'

The condition being that Jesus fall down and worship the devil. There is little doubt that antichrist will fulfill this condition, for he is given his power, his throne and his authority by Satan himself. He will be Satan's man, Satan's saviour and Satan's offspring (seed, see Genesis 3:15)

It is interesting to observe that these three foundations for antichrist's World Order are being prepared and are coming together in the world today. Just keep and eye on world news to confirm this! It proves to all who are 'watching and praying' as Jesus commanded, that His coming draws very near indeed.
